Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

Your Dutch oven is a great tool to use for deep frying food. It holds the heat very well, which is a big help when you are frying. You can use it to cook donuts! Think about having fresh donuts when you are camping.

All you need to do is take several tubes of refrigerator biscuits and stick your thumb through the center of a biscuit. Add to a dutch oven which has been prepared with about 2 inches of cooking oil. Be careful that you do not let it get too hot.

MAKE SURE THAT IF YOU DO THIS ON A CAMPFIRE THAT YOU HEAT THE OIL OVER COALS, NOT FLAMES! It would be better to use the Dutch oven over charcoal briquettes, or, even better, on a campstove, or grill.

CAREFULLY drop the biscuits from a spoon into the hot oil. Turn them once. Remove them from the oil and roll them in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Mmmmm!

Enjoy!
