Grilled Barbecued Ribs

Barbequing ribs is a great way to use your grill this summer.  Try this easy recipe for making delicious barbequed ribs.

1 cup water
1 cup catsup
3 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp celery seed
1/4 tsp bottled hot pepper sauce
4 lbs pork loin back ribs or meaty spareribs

Combine water, catsup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, celery seed, and pepper sauce in saucepan.  Heat until it is boiling, then reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes while stirring occasionally.

Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper.  In covered grill, arrange medium hot coals around a drip pan.  There should be medium heat over the drip pan. Place ribs, fat side up, on the grill rack over the drip pan, but not over the coals.  Cover grill and grill for about 1 1/2 hours or until well done. Brush with sauce the last 15 minutes of cooking.
