Pecan Caramel Rolls

A Dutch oven once again shows its versatility with this recipe for Pecan Caramel Rolls.

Ingredients
  • 1 tube of refrigerator biscuits (10 count)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • Chopped pecans
  • Cinnamon
  • Raisins (optional)

Instructions
  1. Melt butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a tablespoon of water in a pie pan in a Dutch oven that has been heated with coals underneath.
  2. Stir the mixture well until sugar/butter becomes a caramel.
  3. Add pecans and raisins to the caramel mixture.
  4. Cut the biscuits into quarters.
  5. Stir the biscuits into the caramel mixture, coating each part with caramel. Place the pan in the Dutch oven, with three stones under the pan. Bake the biscuits for 15 minutes until they are golden brown.
